Woohoo and all that... I've been lucky enough to aquire (courtesy of my lovely wife who absolutely insisted on buying me a present) an EOS 5D MkII. It's here now in my trembling and everso slightly sweaty hands.
It's disappointingly similar in appearance to my 40D - I'd built it up in my head somewhat so I think I was expecting a camera the size of a small house that gave me hug when I unboxed it and then went off and took pictures for me :) I rattled off a couple of test shots in my loft here - the clarity and details are incredible.
Hopefully I'll get out this weekend to use it properly but I have Tendonitus in my left foot at the moment
