Witches Room by grimleyfiendish Witches Room by grimleyfiendish
Acrylics on heavy cartridge

This the only other painting I have available to post at the moment. It's based heavily on an illustration done in pen and colour wash by Phillipe Fix. It appeared in a book I had as a child called The Book of Giant Stories. The book rocks and has some wonderful ilustrations in it :)

Painted a little later than the other - sometime in 93 - as a gift for my parents. I was skint at the time and couldn't buy them anything so came up with this.

The amount of meticulous detail cannot be ignored in Witches Room by *grimleyfiendish. They really go above and beyond to make sure every detail stands out and stands on its own. Be sure to check out the rest of this amazing gallery. ( Suggested by aardet and Featured by RockGirl1582 )

My pleasure - it makes it worth it when people like what you do and, in my opinion, anyone who says they don't care what people think of their work is probably lying to some degree :)

Your picture is really neat, way better than I could do digitally :). I bought a tablet recently with a view to trying out some digital work but I haven't got round to it yet.

:) I'm agree with you! I learned to hear all opinion on my works, if is a bad opinion, maybe the anatomy is wrong, I can see my errors. And I feel pushed to be better! for me is very important.

I use the digital only for the colors, because is funny play with it (you now you can change as you want) but for now I knowing a man who do only traditional works, I now I start to discover it again, maybe because is more "only" than a digital work.

No idea to be honest, probably two point on an horizon about a third of the way up with plenty of artistic license thrown in - It was a long time ago :).

No problems, it's good to ask questions and I like answering them where I can. Problem is I have trouble remembering what I did last week let alone 13 years ago =D

lol sounds like me. I'm taking a class at the academy of arts on perspective and we are learning about isometric drawings and we were suppose to go on line a look at a few so that we can get an idea on what they look like.

I remember Isometric projections from my tehcnical drawing classes at school - I've never been that disciplined in my artwork though, generally I just draw things so that they look right. It's good to learn the fundementals though, good luck with the classes, I hope they work out for you :)
