Acrylics on heavy cartridge
This the only other painting I have available to post at the moment. It's based heavily on an illustration done in pen and colour wash by Phillipe Fix. It appeared in a book I had as a child called The Book of Giant Stories. The book rocks and has some wonderful ilustrations in it  Painted a little later than the other - sometime in 93 - as a gift for my parents. I was skint at the time and couldn't buy them anything so came up with this. Daily DeviationGiven 2008-01-26The amount of meticulous detail cannot be ignored in Witches Room by *grimleyfiendish. There is so much going on in this image that you find something different every time you look at it. I love how you've created the glow of the fire and captured the shadows perfectly to give a Halloween feeling and a gorgeous warmth of glowing orange.
